 W H A T ' S       N E W  ?       2016: The Year for HD (high resolution) Audio

Online music retailers are now offering high resolution audio files of new and older remastered recordings.  These files are available in several formats - some even appearing on Blu-ray disc.
Some home recordists use the 48kHz/24bit standard for their live opera broadcast recordings while inhouse enthusiasts employ the 96kHz/24bit standard.  As broadcasts rarely exceed a frequency response of 15kHz the lower sampling rate is quite appropriate for such recordings.
Semi-professional inhouse recordists with excellent digital equipment can capture the frequency extremes and the full dynamic range with the higher sampling rate of 96kHz.
Celestial Audio is very proud to feature a number of such recordings.
Most modern DVD players feature excellent sonics and the capacity to play both 48kHz/24bit and 96kHz/24bit audio discs.  Celestial Audio  A-DVD discs feature similar presentation to the regular CD versions but with an on-screen menu and instant access to music tracks.
